Lars, Thanks for the tour dates, I've justed booked 2 tickets to see them , where I first saw them back in '82..Portsmouth Guildhall. It's a small (less than 1000 person venue), very cosy, and very easy to get close to the band. Gees..I haven't seen them for about 4 years now...I can't wait. Oh..one more thing...I love this listserver, and chance of setting up alt.fan.Level_42 ???? I sure hope not. In my experience, newsgroups are a lot noisier and stupider than mailing lists. -- Lazlo (lazlo @ rt66.com) ------------------------------ From: "the El Nino of Love" Date: Fri, 19 Aug 1994 17:44:13 GMT-400 Subject: Re: L42 FAQ Hi Everyone, I enjoyed seeing Elson's FAQ in the mailing list the other day. I noticed, however, that Dominic Miller wasn't included in the list of "Auxillary" band members. I had hoped that Dominic would step in as a permanent guitarist after Alan Holdsworth's temporary stand in L42 ended--he had seemed to be waiting in the wings for the past few albums. Unfortunately, I guess Dominic has his hands full with Sting's band right now. Actually, since Alan doesn't play on all of the tracks on "Guaranteed," I guess that Dominic takes care of the guitars on the remining tracks, right? I never really got a good feel for Dominc's playing--even with Sting's band, the guitars rarely stand out--it's just that it would be nice to see a somewhat familiar face in the guitarist's poistion instead of Danny this, or Tonto that, or whomever they manage to drudge up for the next few months. Oh well... Isn't it odd that Danny Bloom and Phil Gould both worked in the studio on "Forever Now" but neither of them want to tour? It sure makes following the band difficult...
