It's actually written in the key of E, so the notes are E, A and G. L42 wrote it in "E" originally, and the original version on the "True Colours" album is in E. Also, when they perform the song, it's E-A-G. However, you are partly right, since on "World Machine" it is F-A#-G# (actually in the key of F, there are no sharps, only flats, so it's F-Bb-Ab) - It is in F in that version because the "World Machine" verison of "Hot Water" is a speeded-up, remixed version (with extra keyboard and rhythm effects).
