Subject: Compilations?

I was at a privately owned music store yesterday (they always have way better
stuff than the mall-franchise stores) and I saw two Level 42 works that I
hadn't seen before.

One was called Level 42: The Remixes. I wasn't too particularly interested in
that one. There was another one, however, called On the Level. It had a lot of
songs from Staring at the Sun, and some from Running in the Family, and then a
bunch I didn't recognize. They could possibly be from an album previous to
Pursuit of Accidents (I don't have any of those) but if they're unreleased or
b-sides or something, can anybody recommend it? It was an $18 import (ouch) so
I wanna check what everybody else thinks of it before I grab it.

There's nothing unreleased on On The Level, but there are some single
edits and remixes that aren't listed as such on the back cover.  The only
pre-Pursuits material is "Wings Of Love," which actually predates their
signing to Polydor.  I like the disc but it's a little heavy on material
from "Staring At The Sun."

The Remixes is probably a better buy if you're trying to get material that
hasn't appeared on CD before.
