Last time round, Ruen asked: >I only really became a Level 42 fan after I caught the end of one of >their concerts on tv, and heard Mark King do a fantastic solo. Can >anyone recommend some albums where his talent is spotlighted? Well, the answer to that question is, most of them! Seriously, I think the albums which showcase this man's enviable talent are Level 42's live album from 1985, "A Physical Presence", and King's solo album from 1984, "Influences". Incidentally, on the subject of solo albums, what did every one make of Mike Lindup's, "Changes" I think it was called, dating from 1991? I`ve only heard bits and bobs of it - it's all much gentler, lyrical stuff, with fine playing from the various session honchos. DaveJ. ------------------------------ From: eric (Eric J. I'm sending out this "special double edition" of the digest so that I can make the announcement that a "non-digest mode" is now available for the Level 42 Mailing List. To change your mailing type (to either DIGEST or NON-DIGEST), send a message to level42-request @ enterprise.bih.harvard.edu explaining what you want done (i.e., "Change my status to NON-DIGEST", or whatever). You can even be on both DIGEST and NON-DIGEST, but please make sure you explicitly say so if this is what you really want. Requests for subscription / unsubscription should also be sent here. On DIGEST mode, all messages received over the course of a 24-hour period will be formatted into a "magazine" and mailed out at 7:00 am (U.S. EST) each morning (including Sundays and holidays!) In NON-DIGEST mode, messages will be bounced out to the users *as they are received* by the system. Keep in mind that this opens up the system to possible junk mail (a perfect example is if someone's Internet gateway goes down, then echoed mail to their address will be bounced back and then the error message will be distributed to the whole NON-DIGEST user list... ugh.) If you don't like getting junk mail, then subscribe as a DIGEST member - the software filters out refused/bounced messages. I hope this improves message throughput (and input!). Turn It On! Eric
